In what ways do you think parenting styles and family structure interact to affect development?

For instance, might there be differences in how authoritarian parenting influences children in two-parent versus single-parent familiesIn what ways do you think parenting styles and family structure interact to affect development?
i would say for the parent it might be hard due to be single-parent without anyone to help, and also it might be hard for the child for not having both parent in his/her life. but if the parents are strong and do have a productive parenting style to help their children succeed in life in my opinion that is what matter. than being sing versus two-parent. it is not about the number it is about what you show to your children. if your two-parent always fight you are not going to have a positive thing about having a family in your future which will brought a negative effect in your development. so i don't think there might be a difference in parenting style because of the single versus two-parent.
